Measure your wood shed’s roof depth and add a few inches for overhang (if using asphalt roofing do not extend the sheet more than 2″ over a support or you could have some sagging over time.)
We needed to replace an old shed. The Recreation Unlimited website design process was easy to use and offered lots of options. Descriptions and photos were quite good, and we wound up getting what we expected. The build quality is excellent, and the installation went without a hitch. Recommended.

Just think, if you always grab firewood from the top layer and that layer is always getting rained on, then you're always grabbing wet wood! If you have ever tried to start a fire with wet wood you know it can be very frustrating and time consuming. A roof over the firewood is very convenient because it's permanent and unlike a tarp or cover, you never have to worry about taking it off and putting it back on. Have the roof overhang the woodpile on all sides to offer protection and prevent water from dripping on your firewood.
